Drishyam 2 (2022) Hindi Movie – Review

Drishyam 2 works best when it focuses on suspense, family pressure and Vijay’s ability to stay one step ahead. The movie takes its time building the story before moving into a much more intense final act.

Ajay Devgn once again fits naturally into the role of Vijay. His performance is mostly restrained, with many of the character’s emotions coming through his expressions rather than long dialogues. That quiet approach suits the character and keeps Vijay’s personality consistent with the first film.

Akshaye Khanna adds another strong presence as the investigating officer. His character brings a different kind of pressure to the story and gives Vijay a much tougher opponent to deal with.

Tabu and Shriya Saran also return to their respective roles, although their characters have less room to make an impact compared with the central conflict between Vijay and the investigation.

The biggest strength of the movie is its final stretch. Once the investigation reaches its crucial stage, the pace becomes tighter and the story starts connecting several earlier details. The climax is the part most likely to stay with viewers after the movie ends.

Overall Review

If you enjoyed the first Drishyam, the sequel continues Vijay Salgaonkar’s story with more investigation, tension and family drama. It may take some time to reach its strongest moments, but the final act gives the movie the payoff it has been building toward.
